BÖRSENTAG ZÜRICH 2026

Our CEO Asked: How Much AI Do Trading Systems Really Need?

We joined Börsentag Zürich — Switzerland's largest event for private investors — as a sponsor with our own booth, and took the stage with our CEO Michael Jaeggi tackling a deliberately provocative question. The answer looks very different depending on where you look.

BÖRSENTAG ZÜRICH 2026

A day of trading, technology, and honest conversations about AI.

On 26 September, CREATEQ joined Börsentag Zürich — Switzerland's largest event for private investors — with a booth and a talk from our CEO Michael Jaeggi, "Handels- und Börsensysteme – wie viel AI brauchen sie?" ["How much AI do trading and exchange systems actually need?"]. Drawing on his years of experience in exchange and trading infrastructure, Michael made the case that trading systems need almost no AI in their core — precision, latency, and stability come first — while AI's real value lies in what happens before and after the trade.

We're grateful to everyone who stopped by our booth for a conversation, and to the Börsentag team for organizing another great event.

A WORD FROM THE STAGE

Handels- und Börsensysteme – wie viel AI brauchen sie?

Michael Jaeggi CEO of CREATEQ

"A matching algorithm that's 99.7% correct wouldn't be progress - it would be a system failure. Precision, latency, and stability aren't up for negotiation there. But before and after the trade, there's a lot of room for AI - as long as we stay in control of what the agents actually do."

HOW WE WORK

Modernization built for the industries that can't afford to get it wrong.

We build the software behind some of the leading companies in Switzerland — and we help banks, insurers, and other regulated businesses modernize without pausing the business to do it. The platform still has to run, the release path still has to hold up, and the evidence still has to be there when control functions ask for it.

That means renewing legacy core systems step by step through governed delivery, shortening regression cycles with traceability that holds up in internal and external audits, and bringing in embedded engineers who already understand regulated delivery under Swiss governance. It also means moving core infrastructure toward a cloud-native foundation — greater scale and flexibility, without treating continuity as optional.

None of this works without the standards to back it up. We're ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified, DORA-ready, and bring direct FINMA-context project experience — our compliance posture isn't an afterthought, it's part of how we build.
